Yearly Events

March

We will be holding our annual tree seedling giveaway, for all Oldham County residents, in March of 2011.  Check back in the coming months for the date and time.

Oldham County teachers interested in receiving seedlings for their students can sign-up by contacting our office at 502-222-5123.

April

Earth Day is April 22, 2009.  Make plans to head outside in celebration of all nature has to offer!  Go on a tree identification hike, check out the wildflowers that are popping up or see if you can tell which birds have made their migration back to KY.

June-July

Students in grades K-5 can register for our Leaf Scrapbook Program.  This program, which was formerly held in the fall, will kick-off in early June with events being offered during the summer months.  See the education section for additional information on previous years.

Contact our office at 502-222-5123 to register.

Mid-August through September:

Monarch Butterfly Program  - - Watch for the return of the monarch in our area in April or early May.

Teachers interested in participating in the August 2010 program can sign-up by calling our office at 222-5123.

Mid-September be on the lookout for the monarchs as they migrate through Oldham County on their way to Mexico.  It's a truly a sight to see!

Check out how we are involved across Oldham County through our education and community programs.
