Yearly Events

Spring

Our Annual Tree Seedling Giveaway will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 on the front porch of the Oldham County History Center from 11:00-12:30.

Earth Day - celebrated nationwide each year on April 22nd.

August through September:

Monarch Butterfly Program - - Watch for the return of the monarch in our area in April or early May.

Teachers interested in participating in the August 2012 program can sign-up by calling our office at 222-5123. We have 100 spots and they fill up fast so get your name on the list!

Mid-September be on the lookout for the monarchs as they migrate through Oldham County on their way to Mexico. It's a truly a sight to see!

Sept-November:

KY Division of Conservation and KY Farm Bureau Art & Writing Contest. This year's topic is wildlife - "Where Kentucky's Wild Things Are". Entries must be received in our office by December 1, 2011.
