Courier-Journal Art & Writing Contest
The Conservation District is a proud sponsor of the Courier-Journal conservation writing and Jim Claypool art contests. One thousand and thirty three Oldham County students participated during the 2006-2007 school year. The annual contests offer every student in the county an opportunity to participate while learning more about the management of natural resources of soil, water, trees and wildlife.
This year’s theme, Kentucky’s Wildlife, takes a look at all forms of wildlife across the state and points out the ways in which our daily activities can affect their lives.
Teachers interested in participating in next year's contests can call or email our office to request further information on the program which will take place in the fall of 2008.
